Employees with and without disabilities working together on a vehicle front end at the Neuhausen auf den Fildern plant – inclusion and social responsibility lived out in everyday work
Social responsibility that makes a real difference: at Mercedes-Benz Used Parts & Services in Neuhausen auf den Fildern, social responsibility isn't just a talking point – it's part of our lived company culture. Since 1997, we've maintained a close partnership with the Neckartal Workshops (NTW). Since 1997, Mercedes-Benz Used Parts & Services has worked together with the Neckartal Workshops (NTW), a workshop for people with disabilities operated under the Caritas Association for Stuttgart e. V. This collaboration promotes workplace inclusion and supports the integration of diverse skills and experiences into everyday work.

Inclusion With Added Value – for People, Business, and the Environment

What began in 1997 with four employees has grown into a strong partnership today: between 12 and 15 NTW employees now work with us regularly – fully integrated into our daily work processes and directly assigned to their respective team leads. Their contribution matters greatly to us, both professionally and personally.

Typical Tasks Performed by Our NTW Colleagues:

  • Assisting with truck and tire dismantling
  • Sorting and separating recyclable materials
  • Cracking open shock absorbers
  • Supporting parts handling and shipping logistics
  • Vehicle care and cleaning
  • Maintenance and upkeep of the facility grounds

25 Years of Successful Partnership – and Never Just Routine

Our collaboration with the Neckartal Workshops is built on trust, mutual respect, and genuine teamwork. It's about more than integration – it's about real workplace participation and a valuable contribution to the circular economy. NTW employees are a permanent part of our operation – with clear responsibilities, ownership, and opportunities to grow.
Together with the Caritas Association for Stuttgart e. V. and the Neckartal Workshops (NTW), we promote workplace inclusion and collaboration among people with diverse backgrounds in everyday work. Our goal is to create a work environment where individual abilities are nurtured and opportunities for growth are made possible.

Our Promise for Tomorrow

We want to say thank you: To our colleagues at the Neckartal Workshops for their daily dedication, curiosity, and commitment. To Caritas Stuttgart for their collaborative partnership and trust. And to our entire team at Mercedes-Benz Used Parts & Services, who make this special partnership possible – for more than 25 years now.
We look forward to continuing this journey into the future – with new ideas, joint projects, and one clear goal: to firmly anchor social responsibility in our everyday work.
