"Manufacturing vehicles requires a wide range of materials and raw resources. That's why Mercedes-Benz already factors in the future disassembly and recovery of vehicles at the development and production stage. Mercedes-Benz Used Parts & Services is part of this process. Functional vehicle components are removed, inspected, and remarketed as used parts. Components not suitable for reuse are professionally recycled or channeled into further recovery processes. In 1996, what is now Mercedes-Benz Group AG founded the first manufacturer-owned vehicle recycling operation with Mercedes-Benz Used Parts & Services. Since then, this independently managed group company, with around 250 employees, has disassembled several thousand Mercedes-Benz and smart vehicles every year. After inspection for quality and function, suitable parts are stocked and sold. In 2025, around 545.000 replacement parts were sold this way. The goal is to return as many suitable vehicle components as possible to further use and keep materials within existing material and resource cycles.

Across approximately 30.000 square meters, Mercedes-Benz Used Parts & Services operates a disassembly facility for reconditioning and remarketing used genuine parts. Here, vehicle components are professionally removed, inspected, and quality-assured. Suitable parts are remarketed as used parts, while non-reusable materials are directed into further recovery and recycling processes. Every used part is inspected before sale and assigned to a defined quality class. This is how we've been providing cost-effective repair solutions with genuine parts – for more than 30 years.

Our teams inspect and disassemble a wide range of Mercedes-Benz and smart vehicles every day. Quality assurance is our top priority for parts such as engines, bumpers, doors, and hoods. Committed to Reuse and Raw Material Recovery.

At Mercedes-Benz Used Parts & Services, suitable vehicle components are inspected, quality-assured, and remarketed as used parts. Materials that can't be reused are professionally recycled and returned to existing raw material cycles. We're also committed to inclusion and participation in everyday work life.

Reuse Before Recycling.

At the heart of our business model is the remarketing of inspected, used genuine parts. Suitable vehicle components are removed, quality-assured, and remarketed as used parts. Components not suitable for reuse are professionally recycled or directed into further recovery processes. This way, materials and raw resources are returned to existing material cycles. Mercedes-Benz Used Parts & Services disassembles up to 7.000 vehicles per year and sold approximately 543.000 replacement parts in 2025. The remaining materials are processed through specialized recycling operations and returned to the raw material cycle. Mercedes-Benz Used Parts & Services is certified as a disassembly facility in accordance with the requirements of the End-of-Life Vehicles Directive 2000/53/EC.

Global Reach for Recycling.

To ensure international availability and keep enough parts in stock at all times, we maintain a large inventory. Shipping is generally available to countries within the European Union and the EFTA. We currently ship our replacement parts to 36 countries and are continuously working to expand our delivery area.
